Hardy Boyz
The Hardy Boyz consisted of brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy. Originally the brothers competed as teenagers in the then-WWF as jobbers, both in singles and tag team competition. They are generally considered to be one of the best tag teams in the history of the WWE, winning the WWF Tag Team Championship (now referred to as the World Tag-Team Championship) five times.
Hardy Boyz
The Hardy Boyz started their run as a popular tag team in a surprising win over Kaientai (Taka Michinoku and Funaki) on an edition of Sunday Night HEAT. Soon after their Sunday Night HEAT win, they built up a fan following through their high-flying tag team tactics. They started to become serious contenders for the Tag Team Titles after they became managed by Michael "P.S." Hayes, formerly a member of the successful tag team The Fabulous Freebirds. They would eventually dump Hayes as their manager and were briefly associated with Gangrel as part of The New Brood. After winning a series of matches against the team of Edge and Christian, dubbed the "Terri Invitational Tournament", they won the services of Terri Runnels as their manager. Through all this they had a successful run for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and gain notoriety as a tag team with Lita.
Team Xtreme
Together with Lita, Matt and Jeff Hardy comprised the trio dubbed Team Xtreme, their name serving as a reflection of their "extreme" high-flying moves. During the time they were in WWE together, they were one of the most popular tag teams, primarily because of their TLC (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) matches with Edge and Christian as well as The Dudley Boyz. On top of the high-flying moves, they were faced off in a match in an episode of "That 70's Show" in which they played two wrestlers in a match. This episode's main guest-star was The Rock, but they ended up shown on the show and Matt ended up winning. The high-flying tactics of the young Hardy brothers and Lita would make them one of the most popular tag teams in the WWE at that time, particularly among female fans. The team would eventually split up, however, in favor of both Matt and Jeff pursuing singles careers. Jeff was later fired from the WWE and later joined TNA.
